Service for Schools
Play therapy aims to unlock the potential of children. By providing a consistent therapeutic relationship play therapy can help children regulate their emotions increasing their opportunity to access education.

PTUK's clinical evidence base, containing over 12,000 cases, shows that between 77% and 84% of children show a positive change through the use of play and creative arts therapies when delivered to PTUK standards. The more severe the problem, the higher the percentage of children that show a positive change. (PTUK, 2022)

I can work one to one with up to 4 children in a school day for a minimum of 12 weeks up to 36 if the child's needs require longer term therapy. Sessions are 45 minutes long.

Each child would be offered a package of support including start and end meetings with parent/carers, final reports and regular reviews with teaching staff.

I provide all materials, am fully insured and receive regular supervision for my work. I follow the BACP and PTUK Ethical Frameworks.

I have worked in a number of schools within BANES and references are available on request.
