Who is play therapy for?

Play therapy is an approach suitable for children between 4 to 11 years.
Children who can benefit from play therapy include those;

with emotional difficulties such as anxiety or depression

with social difficulties or experiences such as bullying or refusal to attend school

with behavioural difficulties such as defiance or poor impulse control

who may have experienced trauma or challenging times in their lives such as domestic violence

who may have experienced a loss such as bereavement or separation

living with disabilities, their siblings, and/or young carers

who have sleep difficulties

who have attachment disorders
